In 2020, Silvan asked us to update their visual identity in a way that would appeal to urban dwellers. Naturally, we jumped at the chance to refresh the iconic DIY brand.
Stripping away all things unnecessary, we created a modern logotype that pays homage to the well-known Silvan logo, while pointing towards the future. The dark blue and orange colour scheme is subtle, but stylish, adding a lifestyle touch to the brand. To cap things off, we designed a library of simple, yet eye-catching icons for both practical and aesthetic purposes.
The design toolbox has proved effective and easy to use, helping Silvan stand out in a red ocean of dusty DIY retailers.
